About

Tools for producers who want to stay in Ableton.

null.audio keeps the workflows we used to leave Live for, vocal alignment and detailed audio editing, connected to the session.

Why this exists

I built the tool I wanted in my own sessions.

I wanted ARA in Ableton so badly. Update after update, I hoped Live would finally add it. Instead, I kept switching to Cubase for vocal production because Cubase natively supports ARA2, even though Ableton was where I felt more creative and comfortable.

I could not bear recording every vocal part into VocAlign or Melodyne in realtime. And rendering an edit in Live was another creative killer: Bouncing in Place rendered the whole plug-in chain, so I had to move the Dub to a clean track with only the vocal tool before I could print it.

That was too much session plumbing for work that should feel immediate.

ALIGN is the fix for the capture pass: VocAlign Pro or Standard works from the clips already in Live. EDIT is the fix for the edit: open a clip in an ARA editor, hear it against the mix in real time, and commit the finished audio. null.audio is the workflow I wanted to use myself.

Tell me what still slows you down at contact@null.audio. Those emails decide what comes next on the roadmap.

ALIGN and EDIT are available now.
